Universe Call Processing Voice Mail Automated Attendant

The Universe call processing system can go on every phone system with analog voice Mail integration. Some of the access codes will be different depending on what type of phone system you have.

 First time log on to Voice Mail

Vodavi: Press your Voice Mail Button

Panasonic: press intercom and access number to voice mail then dial 9 & your ext.#

Mitel: Press Voice Mail soft key

From off property: Call your main phone number when Voice Mail answers dial 9 and your extension number.

You will be asked for your password.  Default password is 4321#

 

Follow instructions. (You will hear) Hi this is your first time calling I must record your no answer prompt…

Transfer prompt:

You have selected (your name)

Mailbox greeting:

Thank you for calling (your name) I am away from my desk or on the phone please leave me a detailed message after the beep if you need immediate service please dial 0 for the system operator

Name

We recommend not recording your name when prompted to record hit any key to skip

Spell first & last name

If you do not want your name in directory dial ***

Caution do not hang up in the middle of setup! If you make a mistake do not hang up complete the set up process you can always go back. Hanging up only ties up the voice mail for 10 minutes before you can redo.

 

 

How to change mailbox greeting

 Access Voice Mail (see above instructions)

You will be asked for your password.

 Press 3 for Other Options then

 Press 2 for Record Greetings then

 Press 1 again for No Answer greeting

 

How to change mailbox password

Access Voice Mail (see above instructions)

You will be asked for your password.

Press 3 for More Options then

Press 3 for more options then

Press 1 to change password

 

How to add my name to the dial by name directory

This is done when mailbox is set up call system administer to turn on setup tutorial.

1 To Skip back 1 sec.s

4 To Skip back 5 sec.s

3 To Skip ahead 1 sec.s

6 To Skip ahead 5 sec.s
